Teaching Grammar with Mentor Texts

In this session, Rebekah will share how teachers can fold grammar, conventions, and usage instruction into writing units authentically by anchoring their teaching in mentor texts.

Using an inquiry approach, Rebekah will show how mentor texts can teach any concept we need to teach in grammar while encouraging students to construct their own knowledge and immediately practice their newfound skills in their own writing.
